Hydro Turbine 3D scan

Hydro Power Stations are a very clean cheap and efficient way of producing green renewable electrical power

This is one of our Metrology Technicians using a Faro 3D scanner to scan the spiral casing and draft tube on a water turbine at a Hydro Electric Power Station in Scotland.

Accurate engineering drawings

We use the data to identify the amount of wear that is present within the turbine unit.

We also use the data from the scanner to produce accurate engineering drawings
