Using laser tracker generated measurements to ensure accurate in-situ machining over the full extent of a large turret mooring system.

The co-ordinate system for the torsion box is concentric to the outer bearing race

Turret control network to be sited and valued on the pre machining survey following the process outlined in 5.5 – 5.7 The control network was valued from the turret bearing flange down to the lower bearing . Before commencement of machining the control network will be checked for validity and maintained if required.
